I'm one of the two content editors for the GPoWS website. One of my chief responsibilities is adding entries to our online calendar. The vast majority of entries are not Green Party-specific events; they must only be progressive, in nature.
So here's my question to our group: do we want to limit calendar entries to only those from members of this network OR are member groups okay with listing entries that are congruent with our overall values and from groups not part of the network?
If the latter, I can add a lot of stuff from the GPoWS online calendar to the Wa-Net calendar.
Let's hear your thoughts.

Calendar listings are not limited to network members only, but only members may do the posting. However, our calendar has some limitations. Its size and design precludes it from carrying too much. Plus, folks need to come in and hunt for events, so I wouldn't rely on the calendar for publicity. The heart of our network comes from getting member groups to post actions which trigger emails, and listings on the home page, action grid and calendar. In many of our networks the impetus to get an action notice out is enough for some groups to come an join the network.
For big events, I suggest putting up a front page announcement -- with pictures and links -- which any member is welcome to do.

I need to change to place of the event on March 8th and to correct my mistyping the start time as 6:30 AM .......
Hi Peggy.
The way to correct a posted action is to:
- Log into the site
- Select Administrator Control Panel
- Scroll down to the Action function
- Select "Edit an Action"
- Click on the Edit icon for the action needing correction
- Make your changes
- Hit Submit and you're done!
Unfortunately, with actions, the edit function does not trigger an automatic email to all administrators like the original action posting does. If you need this information to go out, you may to send a message to all administrators through the message center also accessible on Administrator Control Panel. It might be simpler for you to post to WAlist@waaction.org -- all admins but one are on that list.
Thanks, Peggy,
Laurel
